Which skills should you learn on fail, that you currently do not? After the talk on traps, I checked trap code, and you do not learn when you fail.
So, might as well fix them all at once: Disarm Traps. Spot?

I can see failing a disarm would be a learning experience. but Im not sure how failing a spot would be

Spot being a no-cost, no-lag skill I don't think it should improve on failure either.

Failing a spot would certainly be a learning experience if you happened to trip over a sleeping bear next step. From a game design point of view, it seems clear that skills were meant to increase on usage. Disarm traps uses the same code as disarm weapon, and appears to be an oversight that it does not have the ability to increase on usage. Spy does have an increase calculation, it is just subtle as the skill itself has a duration. I assume sneak is this way as well, havent looked at it. Spot feeds off the immort skill scan, it really looks like it was just tacked on there, and probably should have had an increase on fail tag added to it.
From a game design point of view, spot should learn. From game balance point of view, it should probably be moved to warrior type GM's as a skill and not require an alternate trainer method, or the skill level from the trainer should increase. The other generic trainer skills all cap at 95, only spot is locked at 50.

Dodge (both monk and warrior) do not appear to learn.

More so, Is there a way we can see if a warrior is making his dodge check? Does dodge work for warrior classes?

Dodge works for warrior classes, it is 1-3 damage points per physical attack. A check is made for every attack, when damage is applied. Adding a message would be easy to do, but could potentially double the output you receive per combat round.

Is there anyway you can make a message similar to a resist blunt, or slash. Only once in a while does it say your resistances help. Maybe once a round, .. spammy, but as of right now, I can't tell a difference! Must experiment, and test!

That might give the wrong impression, like you always make the dodge check.

I have updated Disarm Traps to learn, no changes to any other. Also, find food and find water do not learn on fail.
