I remember reading somewhere that some new multiclass additions had ocurred. Namely Rangers had some multi-class options. Should these be put back? What were they? Is there a reason they are now gone?

When some of the high gods (with a tendency to add add add) faded away I think Uma moved us back more in compliance with the version of D&D that the Shadowdale modules were a part of. Id have to dig for that version number

Ranger Druid, and Ranger Cleric I think. I know it was difficult to find gear because most ranger gear is Ranger Only. So it made it fun searching for new "kits"!

Those classes were awesome. Hex introduced them probably 6 years ago. They were all weird elf combos.
Ra/Cl, Ra/Dr, Ra/Th, Dr/Cl. I think they were taken out solely because it made choosing WA for those combos redundant.
There could be some awesome combos that could lure some retired vets back into playing.
I would love to roll a Neutral Ra/Th.
Another fun idea would be to simply unlock more combos for different races that nobody ever uses, or even raise level caps on existing ones. That way SD wouldn't have 95% of the server population rolled as human Mu/Cl/Wa.
A final cool idea would be a revamp of how reincarnation works. Throw up a shopkeeper in one of the zones that players can buy very expensive reagents from. Alter the code so that you could either, reincarnate to a random race, like the system works now, or, choose a new option. The new option being that you could buy these expensive reagents and use them in combination, to specify what race you would like to reincarnate into. Don't reveal which reagents do what. The community will need to either work together and share discovered combinations or spend millions of gold coins figuring out the combinations for themselves.
You could also scatter the reagents throughout the world, but that would require more effort than simply placing a shopkeeper with 1,000,000 gold coin reagents.

Revamps aren't happening, if they were I would certainly do an overhaul of the current classes. I cannot find any reference to these classes, so I cannot simply 'restore' previous functionality, would need to create it again, which would mean some consense on what was in place and for who. I could see Ra/Cl and Ra/Dr, but Cl/Dr should never exist as Druid is a sub class of Cleric. Ra/Th also just seems wrong, but hey. I am guessing they were in place for half-elf?

I agree that ra/dr and possibly ra/cl makes sense, although in all honesty you can make a ra/cl from a ra/dr, just go good . The others don't as far as AD&D 2e is concerned. Not sure what all races, Wild Elves and maybe Half-Elves

i know for a fact that ra/cl was standard 2e rules.. that's what i played. ra/dr makes every bit of sense, but i never went that route tabletop.

This boat has sailed now sorry. It went like this:
Me: Here is the code update to re-add Ra/Cl, Ra/Dr and Dr/Mu. Unicus: Thats not broke, could have done this myself if I wanted. Me: What? They have been approved and put in twice before? Unicus: And taken out twice before too. Me: Why? I thought it was from a bad restore or error. Unicus: Don't remember. Probably because it doesn't comply with D&D2 rules. Me: Yes it does, and here is references to back that up....... Unicus: Ra/Dr doesn't make sense. Me: Yes it does, and here is discussions as to why. Unicus: .....

Interesting. I dont remember it quite that way. I remember you saying it was so but I dont remember the discussions and references. And Im pretty sure the conversation was something more along the line of "I will look into it" than such an absolute response. I see that happening a lot.
Thanks for the reminder though. I should try again to find that out.

No. I thought I made that painfully clear as well.
This concludes everything I was working on for Shadowdale. Everything else is pretty much awaiting input from you and I am not going to keep reminding you about it. Graveyard - pending checks or whatever. Any damage from this zone has already been done. Ranger/Druid class combos - whatever. Hill Giant Smial - bug free, but needs a thorough balance/fix check. Not going to ask anyone to do this, or do it myself as looking at how other things of this nature are progressing, that would just be cruel. Crash bugs - given that the server is still not emailing me whenever mud restarts, the only chance I have of spotting these is by manually logging in and downloading the crash log.
I advised you in November Graveyard zone items had been re-done, thats over two months of multiple reminders not getting a response. You need to set aside some time to do things for Shadowdale on a regular basis, or find someone who has the time to do so. There is absolutely nothing stopping you from emailing Uma and saying 'Hey, I am having trouble devoting anytime to Shadowdale, do you mind if I promote someone to 60 to cover it. I can still continue to host.'
Here is a response I received from Celestian:
Had a conversation with Gandalf.
Still not clear on what exactly you are wanting but I defer to him on any and all things he wishes to do with the MUD. Anything you need in that regard will need to go through him. At this point I am just one of the original coders.
So whatever you said to him effectively stalled any chance of getting permissions to update Shadowdale code there.

Well it cant be scheduled. More like I need to take better notes so that when I have a good day I can reread them and pick up where I left off. I guess if you dont want to resend I can try and dig up the emails you sent and convert them to notes.
Still I dont think Ive done as badly as you paint it. You volunteered to do fixes and those have gone in quickly. And then you did changes, which did not go in so quickly. I have said what that would require. And now you want direct access and/or 60 level to change Shadowdale however you want.
I also have created this forum so that things can be discussed, options found, maybe even spur some of the higher level gods to provide some info and votes.

Players Handbook for Second edition DnD page 62 Half-Elves were the only race who were able to multi-class with druid other than warrior. The list has these character classes: Fighter/Druid Druid/Ranger Druid/Mage Fighter/Mage/Druid
I never played a tri-class druid, but I did spend a few years playing tabletop with a Minotaur Ranger/Druid. A friend played this character, and quite well. It was fun to watch him go through his druid trials with other druids, but it was fun watching him deal with his consequences of being a neutral massive damager. He did have issues along the way, but with the right roleplaying, it was not difficult to see his multi-class come alive. As for the mud, I remember when there were multi-class druids. It wasn't as grand as people remember. Few items on the game have the proper anti's to allow an "extreme" kit. To be perfectly honest, there isn't a +dual wield skill item available. To be a dual class ranger, with moderate dual wield impacted game-play and did slow down the class. Mage/Druids would be interesting, as they would rely on skills and spells, but would be dealing with issues of casting offensive spells all the time that would be shifting his/her alignment all the time. Tri Class Druid would be interesting. Maybe Overpowered, but half-elves dont reach max level with mage, so you would have to be very lucky to reinc without losing to many hp. Either way, Second edition did have some druid multi-classes, and I have actually played tabletop with someone who was a ranger/druid. There could be some issues, but we have played with them before, but half-elves max levels helped slow them down.
